Ross joined OIB after gaining 12 years' experience in the Insurance industry in New Zealand, Victoria, Wagga Wagga and Port Macquarie. He had worked mostly for underwriters, but made the change to Broking and the move to Taree to start the OIB Branch Office there in 1984.

20 years later, Ross manages Taree and has become an OIB shareholder. He has QPIB status and a Diploma in Financial Services (Broking). Born & raised in Dunedin NZ, Ross' interests include Rugby, Cricket and Classic Cars. He is a Member of Taree Historic Car Club and Forster on Wallis Rotary Club.
